Gary Hunst is a retired United States Army Chief Warrant Officer, having served over twenty years in the Military Police Corps and in Counterintelligence. He was a member of the famed Berlin Brigade, whose mission was to deter Soviet aggression, counter widespread civil unrest and defend the city from Soviet threat. He received many awards and citations, including the prestigious Legion of Merit.
In 1995, Gary retired from the military but continued his career of serving others. He worked as a Deputy Sheriff and for the Department of the Army as a civilian employee for several years before becoming the Chief of Police for the Eastern Oklahoma VA Healthcare System in 2009. He retired from the Veterans Administration in 2020 as a Safety Specialist and was finally able to devote time to his passion for writing. His debut novel, Wizard’s Redemption, the first in The Eidolon Series, was released in February 2024. The next two books in the series are set to be released throughout 2024, with the last novel in the series being released in early 2025.
